Good morning from Jerusalem

Just an update and a big hug from this far part of the world! Every day moves fast in this journey! From a beautiful boat ride on the sea of Galilee to visits to the walled city in Jerusalem, to time spent in the Garden of Gethsemane, and a visit to Bethlehem, -all remind us of Jesus’ love, dedication, faithfulness, strength, courage. Things are moving quickly, and time for journal writing doesn’t seem to be uppermost. But I’ll send some photos soon and I’m sending so much love now,  for each one of you! Thank you Jennifer for posting your beautiful healing. It’s a complete remembrance of why Jesus did what he did, and of what Mrs. Eddy gave to the world by understanding his life and his works. Let’s  all of us stay faithful and grateful and dedicated. If I haven’t learned anything I’ve learned how much the world needs what we have been given and what we can share. I love you all !

“Joy Cometh in the Morning”

By Jennifer Jones

I had quite an inspired moment one morning recently. The October 3-9 Bible lesson featured a portion of Psalm 30. I was inspired to open my Bible and read the entire Psalm and was delighted with this familiar phrase “… weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

I felt suddenly plunged into an ocean of gratitude and joy. The sun shone through the lace curtains, my Christian Science reading material surrounded me, my morning tea was comforting, and all was well. I thought about all my blessings, all my loving friends, my happy and blessed way of life, and was overcome with joy.

Verse 2 of Psalm 30 reads “O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.” That inspired me to reflect on my healing of pneumonia this past summer. After nearly three weeks in the hospital, it felt like a mountain of love destroyed a wall of fear and mortal medical opinions, and restored my breathing. The powerful work of a loving Christian Science practitioner ensured my release.

After a sweet 2 1/2 week rehab at the home of a loving Christian Science friend, I was able to manage the staircase and return home. Now back to my usual activities, including playing the ukulele, it is delightful to play and sing favorite hymns.

So grateful, I find myself inspired to expand my Christian Science reading, study and prayer, and to learn and play more hymns.   Joy DOES cometh in the morning (and at other times too)! ♥️

What is your most inspired moment?

What is your most inspired moment? Because the world needs it. What has your quiet, calm listening assured you of? Because the world needs it. Take out your daily journal and write your entry: “Today I saw…” “Today I knew…”. “Today I felt…”. “Today I understood more clearly than ever…. Thank you, Father!”Because the world needs you, your discovery, your inspired life.

You don’t have to publish it for the world. You have to feel it within. You don’t have to tell anybody, but realize you have been loved and instructed by your God, the Source of your being.  Acknowledge it, feel it, honor it, and live your day, your life, with your conviction of the absolute truth of what has been given to you, individually, as the very expression of God.

Receptive thought receives inspiration. The Bible Lesson this week says, “Prepare ye the Way of the Lord!”  Or, “Prepare the way for the Lord’s coming! Clear the road for him!” (NLT)

How do we do that? Not with parades, or banners, or drums. But with a receptive heart that turns to our God with humility, meekness, leaving all the noise and clutter for the calm, clear presence of divine Love, divine Mind as our consciousness. God is, and we are, one as His idea. Just receive that, rest in that, note that, save it, and live from that precious understanding.

What a more peaceful, healing, beautiful life you’ll experience. Regardless of the human conditions around you. Get quiet, let your God love you, listen for His voice, His guidance. It comes in quietness and confidence. It comes in love, peaceful relationships, provision, protection. Life is most wonderful when we work from that standpoint.
