Every step counts!

Why do we study?  Why do we want to learn?  Is our goal to use Science just to make bad things go away?  Or to just have a happy life in matter?  If so, sooner or later, it’s apt to disappoint.

In fact, we know there is so much more available to us, and through us, though  the “more,” the increasing good,  is frequently unknown to us. But we trustingly study and grow in love and grace and in spiritual receptivity. We don’t know the full effect of our prayer and study, but it is there and will be seen.

When Saul started his journey, with obvious enthusiasm but in the wrong direction (see Acts 9),  he had no idea what obedience to God would entail and provide. In his blinded situation, he asked, “Who are you, Lord?” “What would you have me do?”

As Saul was transformed through his relationship to God, his character changed.  And Paul, then, changed the world he lived in, and beyond.  He even said he took pleasure in infirmities. (amazing thought!) Why? He knew even inharmonies would make him grow spiritually.

Sorry, guys, for planting this seed. But ultimately there will be times our understanding of  Science removes inharmonies in matter, and, as well, we may use those same inharmonies to bring us increased spiritual growth and greater spiritual understanding.  Every step counts!

  1. Thanks so much Pam for your sharing today.
Yes, inharmonies force us to see differently, change base to make us discover step by step our spiritual understanding.

  2. Thank you, Pam. I love being reminded that every step counts. And we see tangible results when we keep stepping forward spiritually. Sometimes it feels as if I pray and study, “work, work, work, watch and pray” without feeling the inspired closeness to God and Her creation THEN suddenly a flashing new inspiration a healing angel or a palpable feeling of God’s tender love. I know that the new spiritual altitude came from each of those steps.

Other times a focused listening to God will not only bring inspiration but unexpected proofs of God’s great goodness. I had an example of that recently when I was able to spend the two hour drive through the desert from our home to Reno asking God about baptism and the meaning of Jesus temptations. (I will share those inspirations later.) I felt so close to God.

On the way home two cars were stopped at a side road. I was probably traveling about 70mph. One car made a safe left turn in front of me then the other decided to go too. I was right on him but because of my talk with God I didn’t feel the least bit afraid. I didn’t even have the surprised intake of breath. Right on the road that he was just leaving I was led to do a quick sharp right and we went right around him. It was to natural that I didn’t give him and how he was driving or the possibility of an accident a thought. Safety and harmony was just THE LAW and on we drove.

    Yes every step counts!!!!!

  3. Thanks Kit! That is awesome. And safety is the effect of the prayer – it doesn’t always have to be dramatically dastardly, protection and provision in advance are definitely part of the effect of our prayer. Thanks for sharing that. And keep up the good prayer, – it is so important that we acknowledge the effective of faihful lives !❤️❤️❤️
