Greetings 🌸

Hello friends and Pam’s students! I have volunteered and am honored to help with this “blam”. We will hear from Pam regularly and she would like to hear from us.  I think we would also like to hear from each other!

So – let’s share our healings, our news and our gratitude.  Let’s share our insights, stories and anecdotes.   We can also share our questions and introduce topics for discussion!  We may not feel that we are “writers”, but we all share a common bond of love and inspiration.  We also share a very special way of looking at life!

We are quite privileged to have wonderful resources to draw on for wisdom and inspiration.  I always enjoy the periodicals and would like to start the ball rolling by sharing a quote from  the October 1 issue of the Christian Science Sentinel.  I like to “bookmark” articles which I find especially meaningful and I also enjoy the articles directed to teens.

This is from the article to teens entitled “How Does a Christian Science Healing Happen?” by Jenny Sawyer:

As we pray about a problem, it’s easy to think that we’re making something happen, or causing God to do something for us. But that’s not what prayer does. What prayer does is help us wake up to what’s already true, what’s already in place. It clears away the doubt and fear so we can see that everything God made is just as intact as it’s always been. When you see this clearly, it’s an “aha” moment—and an adjustment in your thoughts and life inevitably follows.

We look forward to hearing from you!

  1. Hey Jennifer, thanks so much for starting us anew here. I love the idea that “everything God made is just as intact as it’s always been.” – and it’s good. Don’t be afraid to see the good and the beautiful and the harmonious in everything, every place we go! It’s there if we look for it and I know that focusing on that beautiful and good and holy and wonderful expressions of Life would benefit us and the whole world. So grateful to be rolling with this! Hugs, Pam

  2. Testimony – 10-04-18 – Peace and Joy helped me locate my handbag

On that day many things were on my calendar, including reviewing a letter written by our Real Estate attorney regarding a misunderstanding with our neighbors about the placement of a fence. The practitioner reminded me to confirm “peace” and shared that Mrs. Eddy brought to our attention that the only communication is from Mind to its idea, Principle to its idea and that there is only one Mind – and it is the simple fact.
Acceptance of peace brought back spiritual calm and spiritual guidance in my thought.

I was working on the lesson on “Unreality” understanding that God never creates something unreal, like disharmony, unkindness, etc.

It included this passage in SH p.525 “Everything good or worthy, God made. Whatever is valueless or baneful, He did not make, – hence its unreality.”

Also SH p. 186 “Evil is a negation, because it is the absence of truth.”

Mid-day I went to a coffee place to have a light lunch and discovered that it had been redecorated and the tables placed differently. The place was filled with people. After lunch I drove 5 miles to go to an office supply store. Getting out of my car I saw that I did not have my handbag! The first thoughts were “remember what you read in the lesson”? Evil has no reality. Unkind thoughts have no reality and they cannot manipulate you. I realized that if God is supreme there is nothing else. No fear can enter the Truth, as there is only Truth. I calmly drove back 5 miles to the coffee place, enjoying seeing the cows grazing in the hills. I arrived at the coffee place and the place was packed with people. When entering I saw immediately my handbag on the seat where I was eating. As if the bag was telling me “I am calmly waiting for you!” The happy crowd had not noticed that someone had left a handbag behind!

I left very grateful, but even more grateful to understand that God never creates something unreal or disharmonious.

    Love to everyone.

    Christiane
