“There is therefore now no condemnation….”

A friend mentioned to me recently that, perhaps, some of the challenges we face may come from what might be termed self-defeating thoughts, which could lead to self-defeating actions. Or actions that have no expectancy of good results. Or habits of thought that hold no expectancy of progress. That’s a really honest assessment and a great opportunity to do some thought checking!

So let’s. Because it’s always a good thing to realize what is governing our thoughts. It easily might be worries, concerns, criticism of ourselves, or another, or even just a general dissatisfaction with the surrounding mental or physical environments. It might be anchored in history,- where we came from, how we were raised, or not raised, what our influences were. Or how we feel about our circumstances today.

I would quickly suggest that we are absolutely accountable to ourselves for our thoughts. And at base, to address these possibilities, requires us to immediately and consistently check our starting point,- is it high or low? God-centered or matter and fear-based.

For our purposes here, let’s be direct and simple. But let’s recognize that this is a very deep concept, and, when challenged, confronted, and addressed with understanding, this  will bring success to our healing work and progress in our lives.

Our best thoughts will always require a spiritual anchor and origin. Replacing the negative, we must begin with the positive. And the only positive that will have a substantive effect is that which begins with the divine, with God. Your identification first thing in the morning and throughout your day with God as your very Life, will bring a discipline, authority, confidence and courage to face situations that no human excuses can touch.

Every healing thought begins with our relationship, not to our problems or to lack, or to worry or pain, but to our oneness with God. Our relationship, as Mrs. Eddy explains so often, is not one of God coming to man to help solve problems. But rather, our forever oneness with God and man is inseparable, God being the very source of our good, and man having all that God is and has. One with God. Forever. Now. Always. In every way.

Today as you start this day, what a perfect time to make that commitment to refuse the defeating thought of a self or mind apart from God, the divine Mind, Love. Begin with Mind. Refuse any other. Love God and let God love you.

Guard thought carefully. You are right now the innocent, pure, good, spiritual expression of God, and so it is impossible to hold thoughts of condemnation, judgment, or criticism, of yourself, or another, or the world around you. “There is therefore now no condemnation to him who is in Christ Jesus.” (Roman 8:1)  All the good that is God is what you express. Always have. Always will. Therefore, you do not, cannot,  condemn, – yourself or another.

Live as one with God. Live from this base of understanding and all good will follow your clean, pure, good, innocent thought.  Leave false judgment. Listen, and expect God, Mind, to inform, direct, protect and cherish you, and provide the needs for your world. The proven, provable divine law of good is in operation. It is the law of God. Good begets good. This good, expected and accepted from God, is yours now.

  1. Accept our identity as God’s, only God’s. Expect the good that promises to bring. No self-doubt, self-condemnation. No condemnation of others. Clear, concise, understanding of God’s love for all of us and what that bring to our lives. THANK YOU PAM.

  2. Man’s identity is his substance, and is always innocent since man is God’s image and likeness. Only through the lens of Christian Science can we behold the real man.
“Jesus’ true and conscious being never left heaven for earth. It abode forever above, even while mortals believed it was here” (No and Yes, p. 36) Love

  3. Love these thoughts! True, our only real identity is spiritual. Pure good with no complications of material sense, no false history or predicted priblems. Just graced with God’s care.
