Trust God With Your Life šŸ‚

This is from The Message, and it turned my life around one time when I had a real need to see my life could really trust God because I was Godā€™s story….always Ā very important lesson. Ā Pam

ā€œTrusting God

ā€œSo how do we fit what we know of Abraham, our first father in the faith, into this new way of looking at things? If Abraham, by what he did for God, got God to approve him, he could certainly have taken credit for it. But the story weā€™re given is a Godā€“story, not an Abrahamā€“story.

ā€œWhat we read in Scripture is, ā€˜Abraham entered into what God was doing for him, and that was the turning point. He trusted God to set him right instead of trying to be right on his own.ā€™

ā€œIf youā€™re a hard worker and do a good job, you deserve your pay; we donā€™t call your wages a gift. But if you see that the job is too big for you, that itā€™s something only God can do, and you trust him to do itā€”you could never do it for yourself no matter how hard and long you workedā€”well, that trustingā€“himā€“toā€“doā€“it is what gets you set right with God, by God. Sheer gift.

ā€œAbraham didnā€™t focus on his own impotence and say, ā€˜Itā€™s hopeless. This hundredā€“yearā€“old body could never father a child.ā€™ Nor did he survey Sarahā€™s decades of infertility and give up. He didnā€™t tiptoe around Godā€™s promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God, sure that God would make good on what he had said. Thatā€™s why it is said, ā€˜Abraham was declared fit before God by trusting God to set him right.ā€™

ā€œBut itā€™s not just Abraham; Ā itā€™s also us! The same thing gets said about us when we embrace and believe the One who brought Jesus to life when the conditions were equally hopeless. The sacrificed Jesus made us fit for God, set us right with God.ā€

  1. Thank you for this wonderful insight on letting God Be the story of our life. God does it all. What a great story to stand by and learn to trust His plan for us, which can only be all good.

  2. Thanks all! Itā€™s most encouraging when we really stand back and allow God to be our life. ( it is true already, so why not embrace the idea!)

And in Malachi Godā€™s promise continues, ā€œI will open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing there shall not be room enoigh to receive it.ā€

Isnā€™t the real question, then, Are we ready and willing to be Godā€™s and to receive the blessings?
